Using Marketing Automation and Dispensary Loyalty Software to Launch New Jersey’s Next Premier Dispensary.
[REDACTED] Dispensary is New Jersey’s next big thing. Their culture, leadership, location, brand, and marketing philosophy created a massive launch in their first month of recreational sales.
They were open for a few months, serving medical patients, barely scraping by. During that time, hundreds of people stopped by looking for recreational cannabis.
They wrote down names and emails and stashed them for their eventual launch date.
They partnered with us to maximize the collected data and create an affordable yet effective system in SpringBig.

Total Dispensary Visits Created
While [REDACTED] Dispensary only served medical patients, they collected over 500 emails from potential rec. customers. A few months later, they were ready to announce their license and their grand opening.
We helped them build a strategy to turn these emails to paying customers. We offered 20% off their first purchase if they signed up for our loyalty program before stepping foot in the dispensary.
The first email alone got over 10% of the audience to the dispensary.
We sent 3 emails to this audience during the first month. The client had a strict “do not overcommunicate” philosophy.
The last email in the series was a promo for 20% off Airo Brands for 3 weeks.
This email drove 172 visitors.
SpringBig has so much functionality for automated follow-ups for dispensaries. We created a system to incentivize customers to return a second time, with follow-ups over time if they didn’t visit again.
Every first-time customer received a text with a $10 off coupon for their next visit.
After that, customers would receive a text if they didn’t return after 1 week and 2 weeks.
If a customer still hasn’t returned since then, they would get a text 1 month and 2 months after they visited with a 20% off coupon.
Since we’re only showcasing 1-month results, the 1 and 2-month follow-ups didn’t get a chance to go live.
The other texts drove 353 visits from repeat customers.
The two pillars to email and sms marketing that convert are a great offer and attention grabbing design. Our campaigns would not perform nearly as well without branded high-quality imagery.
As a new dispensary, brand recognition is key. We prioritized establishing the brand’s visual identity in the mind’s of consumers by using the brand colors, fonts, and textures in every touchpoint.
